The synthesized biodegradable plastics is generally aliphatic polycarbonate, which decomposes above elevated temperature, causing significant decrease in molecular weight of the polymer(generally decrease over 50%), leading to great difficulty for melt processing. The product Coway TS-1 is a kind of complex thermal stabilizer, especially effective in aliphatic polycarbonates when they are processed below 175⁰C , which assures the molecular weight decrease of the polymer below 15% before and after melt processing, maintaining 90% of the mechanical performance of the polymer.
